Welcome to the final in our vlogger series! Over the past weeks we’ve been exploring Moliets with Jenography, Who’s the Mummy, Dad.Info, and the final entry is from Emma and Three.
We asked Emma and her 12-year-old son Dylan to spend a week with us in Moliets, where they undertook a range of activities to win the prestigious cup to see who has the most fun on holiday – parents or kids!
Moliets activities
First off, we sent the pair to Moliets Golf Course where Dylan took to the wheel in a golf buggy. They took a slightly wobbly journey, just clipping the grass and narrowly avoiding a lamppost, but with only one nervous “Dyl!!” from mum Emma, Dylan claimed the first point!
Next they were challenged to hit the ball over 50m, which they both managed admirably! A point each.
We next sent Emma and Dylan to Adrenalin Park – Moliets’ favourite tree-top adventure centre. Dylan conquered the zipline with ease, zooming through the air above Emma’s head.. He was on a roll and breezed across to the giant slide, where he may have got a little bit stuck. After a little wiggling, he was down! Two points to Dylan.
Paddles at the ready, Emma and Dylan tried their first paddle boarding lesson with SUP Land. Emma glided smoothly across the lake, followed by a joint adventure down the river. One point to Emma!
Make like a local
While wandering and exploring the town, the next challenge was to speak to the locals – in French! Dylan did this admirably, striking up a conversation with a local man, and sounding like he’d been there half his life. One point (and some serious bravery points!) to Dylan.
Last, but certainly not least, Dylan daringly tried some local French cuisine, in the form of snails! It was tentative, but he tried it – one point to Dylan.
The scores
Emma scored an admirable 2 points, but Dylan wiped the board clean with his 4 points! Dylan’s favourite activity? Paddle boarding, which he described as ‘awesome.’
The accommodation
Emma and Dylan stayed at our Villas la Clairiere aux Chevreuils in the beautiful Moliets countryside. Villas here sleep 8-12 people, and each villa offers plenty of space, a fully-equipped kitchen, multiple bathrooms, a washing machine and tumble dryer, plus their own private garden and swimming pool! A fantastic base from which to explore Moliets and the surrounding region (outdoor parking is also free).
