Descend the Sorgue with Canoe Evasion
Nestled between two villages of Isle sur la Sorgue and Fontaine de Vaucluse is the source of the River Sorgue – ideal for a casual paddle in a canoe. Paddling along this beautiful river, trips will take around two hours, with both calm and lively sections. Suitable for 3-year-olds and up, this activity is very easy, and safety instructions are explained in advance. At the end of the trip a bus will carry you back to the starting point where you can collect your belongings and exhausted, find the nearest lunch stop!
The Ochre Quarry Trail
Pull on your scruffiest shoes and take to the hills, the Ochre Trail of Roussillon is a must. Stroll this Mars-like land, where red dusty rocks and boulders abound. Like France’s own Grand Canyon, the rocks are made of red and gold ochre sands. There are two trails to choose from; a 30 minute, or an hour-long walk. This is definitely one for a camera!
Dive straight in at Aqua Splash
This water park, situated just 35 minutes from our Provence Country Club, offers spills and thrills galore for all the family. Aqua Splash offers 15 hair-raising attractions, including an artificial wave pool to catch a wave, a lazy river, giant slides and tunnels, adventure island, plus shallow pools for younger paddlers. Day tickets (10am-7pm) start from €16.50 for children, €28 for adults, and are free for under three-year-olds. Entry from 4-7pm costs €14.
Explore the caves of Thouzon
Get down amongst the bats and take a peek into our underworld. The caves of Thouzon are a geological treasure, with 60-million year old stalagmites and stalactites, an underground river and plenty of photo opportunities. Guided tours last around 45 minutes, with hints and tips on the formation of the earth, and the cave’s inhabitants.
