Location

Les Chalets de L'Altiport are ideal for a relaxing self-catered summer alpine holiday. Just 500m away you'll find the centre of the resort, where there are plenty of bars, restaurants, cafés and shops, as well as cinemas and spas. A free shuttle bus runs frequently, however, the centre is also easily accessible via car or on foot.

The accommodation enjoys an exclusive location, and there is plenty of peace and quiet in this area of Alpe d'Huez, despite the bustling centre of the resort being close by. Step out of your front door and head straight along the trekking alpine routes to discover the beautiful fauna and flora of the region.

The chalets

Beautifully furnished, each of the chalets are decorated in the traditional Savoyarde style, with large fireplaces, wood and stone interiors and deep colours giving the rooms a warm feel. There is plenty of space in all of the rooms, with a large open-plan living area with a fireplace and satellite television.

An American kitchen with all the modern amenities, including hotplates, an oven and a microwave oven, a dishwasher, extractor fan and fridge, plus all crockery and pans, allows guests to cook and eat as and when they should want. The chalets offer guests total comfort and space, sleeping up to 16 people, with multiple en-suite bathrooms and toilets. Each of the chalets offers its own private balcony or terrace providing panoramic views of the mountains plus a private sauna in which to unwind.

Board Options

All chalets are self-catered, and come with a fully-equipped American-style kitchen, giving guests the freedom to cook their own meals or eat out at the selection of restaurants in the resort. There are food shops within walking distance, and the centre of the resort is just a 500m walk or free shuttle bus ride away.

From high-end restaurants to casual pizzerias and mountain hot dog cafés, Alpe d'Huez offers plenty of variety for places to eat. When the sun sets, Alpe d'Huez is just waking up. Enjoy a good selection of places to unwind or party, from pubs to live music and clubs that stay open until the early hours of the morning.

L'Alpe d'Huez

Also known 'L'ile au Soleil', or the island in the sun, Alpe d'Huez is vastly south-facing and receives an average 300 days of sunshine a year, making it a great option for glorious alpine summer holidays. The resort is reknowned for its epic road bike climb and thus being the host of several bike races throughout the summer, including the Marmotte and on occasion The Tour de France. Almost as popular in summer as it is in winter, the resort retains much of the hustle and bustle of the winter months with many cycling tourists creating a buzzing atmosphere. Cycling is not the only thing on the menu though with all the usual summer alpine activities also available.

Activities

During the summer season, the main attraction is of course road enjoy cycling but you can also try your hand at all manner of outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, climbing and via ferrata. The Palais des Sports also provides a great range of indoor activities including indoor climbing, squash, tennis, indoor and outdoor swimming & badminton. Take to the water to enjoy canyoning and white water rafting, while for more relaxed moments, there's fishing, golf, mini golf, and a trip to the spa. For a laid back afternoon, there are plenty of dappled picnic spots to enjoy a rustic Savoyard lunch.

Things to see / not to miss

If you happen to be in Alpe d'Huez during one of the cyling or triathlon events, it is well worth heading to the finish line or even lining the route to cheer on the competitors in a great atmosphere. If you're seasoned cyclist yourself, why not have a go at ticking this famous climb off your list!?

Late arrival (after 8 pm)

Please inform the reception or the reservations centre in advance and we will advise you of the late arrival procedure.

Key collection

Check in is from 5 pm onwards at the reception at Chalet Isis.

Deposit

Upon arrival, you have to pay a deposit of 1000 Eu(Visa, Mastercard, French Cheque) for your property. It will be returned to you 15 days after your departure with any necessary deductions made for breakages or additional cleaning.

Cleaning

End of Stay Cleaning is included in the accommodation price.

How are you travelling to the Alps?
We provide private and shared transfers from Geneva, Chambéry, Grenoble and Lyon airport to ski resorts in the French Alps via our own fully licensed transport company, MV Transport.

Payment conditions

Ski France offers 3 options for payment:

1) Pay in 3 instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking, 10% two months before the date of arrival and the remaining balance one month before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available for bookings made by telephone more than 70 days before the stay.
2) Pay in two instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking and payment of the remaining balance 30 days before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available when the booking is made more than 31 days before the arrival date.
3) Pay in 1 instalment: pay the full amount at the time of booking and receive a discount of 15 GBP on the overall price of the stay. This method of payment is valid for stays of 7 nights or more, booked more than 40 days before arrival and for a minimum purchase of 150 GBP.

- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to the final payment
- Any extras added after the final payment to be paid at the time of addition to booking.
-If the booking was made under the 'non refundable' terms, the total amount will be debited at the time of the booking (the discount of 15 GBP is not available on these prices).

Methods of payment accepted:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cheques*, holiday vouchers*.
*(only for reservations made more than a month before arrival).
For payments desired by cheque or holiday vouchers the deposit must be paid by way of debit/credit card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the second and/or third payment can be made by cheque or holiday voucher.
Arrival date less than 40 days: The total amount of the booking must be paid in full online, by debit/credit card at the time of booking.

Cancellation conditions

1) If you choose Standard Conditions
If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
-Between 30 days and 21 days before arrival: 45% of the price of the holiday
-Between 20 days and 8 days before arrival: 60% of the price of the holiday
-Between 7 days and 4 days before arrival: 90% of the price of the holiday
-Less than 3 days before arrival: 100% of the price of the holiday

2) If you choose Non Refundable Conditions
As part of the low price non-refundable offer, in the case of a cancellation you will be invoiced for the total amount at any time.
