Chalet Arda  

The Location

Chalet Arda is a beautiful chalet perched on the hillside in the tranquil Petit Alaska hamlet, boasting spectacular panoramic views over the mountains. It is ideally situated, just a 8 minutes walk from the slopes and Val d'Isere's town centre. The town centre offers a fantastic array of shops, restaurants and bars, so you can sample the local culinary delights and experience the vibrant night life.

The Chalet

The chalet's traditional alpine wood and stone architecture has been seamlessly blended with luxurious modern touches, creating an idyllic space for you to retreat to after a long day on the slopes. Entrance to the chalet is on the first floor, where you will find the spacious living room, featuring plush sofas arranged around a crackling fireplace—the perfect spot for pre-dinner aperitifs. The living room opens out onto the terrace, which offers magnificent views over the surrounding mountains. On the same level is a fully equipped kitchen and a large dining area, so you can opt to stay in and entertain friends and family with a home cooked meal in the comfort of your own chalet. There are 4 cosy double bedrooms sleeping up to 8 guests, all with their own ensuite bathrooms. The first bedroom can be found on the first floor, with the remaining 3 bedrooms on the second floor. There is also a private ski room on the first floor so you can safely store your kit during your stay, and an undercover parking space for those driving to the chalet.

What's Included?

We include: Beds made on arrival, with bath robes and slippers, mid-week and end of stay cleaning, mid-week towel change, local tourist tax, satellite TV, free wifi and firewood. Our contactless catering service, where we shop, deliver and stock your kitchen before your arrival and half-way through your stay.*

*If you choose our contactless catering option, then food and drink are included in the cost. We will supply you with breakfast every day, afternoon tea and snacks, pre-dinner nibbles, plus a three course dinner on six of the seven nights, which also includes unlimited red and white wine and a few beers.
*If you choose our self catered option, food and drink are not included in the chalet price, so you have the freedom to cook at home, or try out the great local restaurants in resort.

Please note that this chalet is not wheelchair accessible and would not be suitable for people with restricted mobility.

Private Shuttle

Included in your stay at Chalet Arda is a private shuttle service for morning and afternoon transport to and from the slopes. Available every day (except arrival and departure day) between 8:30am and 10am and between 4pm and 6pm. The service is limited to 2 trips per chalet each morning and evening.

Premium Contactless Catering Service

Ski France presents the next generation of chalet holidays, for a contactless world. Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. We will visit your chalet mid-week to give it a full clean and change of towels, but this shall be done during the day, whilst you're out on the slopes. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our self catered option which does not include food or drink, so you are free to tailor-make your holiday meals on a budget that suits you.

For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, snacks to take with you skiing, afternoon tea and cakes/snacks, pre-dinner nibbles a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, with a selection of after dinner cheeses, plus champagne for your first night, a kir for before dinner and unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.

Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our self catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week.

Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.

*Please note that for the self catered option, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates. For our fixed menu option, the price does not include ski hire and lift passes, but it does include breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, plus a 3-course dinner with beer and wine for 6 days.

Activities

The resort offers an outdoor ice rink, an aqua-sports center with a pool and sauna, as well as a cinema, in addition to the usual shops, bars, and restaurants.

Throughout the season, the resort hosts numerous activities, including various international skiing competitions, massive snow sculptures, guided tours of Val d'Isère and the farm, concerts, and opportunities to try out new snow sports like snake, airboard, yooner, etc. You can also enjoy relaxing and wellness activities during your stay.

Val d'Isère

Val d'Isère, situated at an elevation of 1850 meters in the Tarentaise Valley, stands as a globally renowned and esteemed ski destination. While the resort provides contemporary amenities and services, it has successfully preserved its historical and traditional Alpine allure. When you combine this with one of the largest, most diverse, and demanding ski areas in France, you have an exceptional destination for a top-notch skiing vacation.

Ski Area

Val d'Isère shares an extensive ski area with its higher-altitude neighbor, Tignes. Boasting 300 kilometers of ski slopes, including dedicated areas for beginners and a wide selection of blue and red pistes, there are ample opportunities for both novices and those looking to progress. Advanced skiers will find plenty of challenges with numerous black runs and off-piste routes available. With 95% of the ski area situated above 1850 meters and a glacier peaking at 3456 meters, you can count on consistently excellent snow conditions throughout the entire season.

Payment Conditions

Ski France offers 2 options for payment:

1) Pay in 2 installments if booked more than 30 days prior to arrival:
- 30% deposit at time of booking & 70% payment 30 days prior to arrival.
2) Pay in 1 payment (always available and obligatory if booked less than 30 days prior to arrival)
- 100% at time of booking

Additional Extras:
- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to final payment
- Any extras added after final payment to be paid at time of addition to booking

Cancellation Policy

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:

- More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
- Between 30 and 21 days prior to arrival date: 45% of total accommodation cost
- Between 20 and 8 days prior to arrival date: 60% of total accommodation cost
- Between 7 and 4 days prior to arrival date: 90% of total accommodation cost
- 3 days or less prior to the arrival date: 100% of total accommodation cost
