Chalet Atacama  

The Location

Chalet Atacama is located in the picturesque village of Le Fornet and sleeps up to ten guests in four stylish bedrooms. This brand new luxurious apart-chalet is conveniently situated a short five minute walk from the pistes and the village centre, which is home to exquisite restaurants where you can delight in local cuisine, or take a quick bus ride to the resort centre where you will find scenic streets lined with lively bars, restaurants and boutiques. The terrace overlooks the stunning scenery, including views of the Isère river, so you can take in the sights from the comfort of your own chalet.

The Chalet

The chalet is split across two levels, and entrance is on the ground floor where you will find a spacious living and dining area with plush sofas set around a roaring fireplace, the perfect spot for pre-dinner aperitifs or for unwinding after a night out in the resort. On the same level, there is a fully equipped open plan kitchen so you can opt to stay in and entertain family and friends with a home-cooked meal. The terrace can be accessed from the living room, and offers sweeping views of the enchanting alpine landscape. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor which all have their own ensuite shower rooms; two double rooms, one of which has access to the terrace, and a third bedroom containing two sets of bunk beds which is perfect for those visiting with little ones. The elegant master suite which boasts a comfortable king size bed can be found on the first floor just off the landing which also houses a sauna, Jacuzzi bath, a shower and a sink. For those driving to the chalet, an underground parking space will be available from 15th December 2023

What's Included?

We include: beds made on arrival, fridges stocked*, bath robes and slippers, daily cleaning (6 days out of 7) with mid stay towel change, local tourist tax, satellite TV, free WIFI and firewood.
There is a parking space in a covered car park under the chalet (if you have several vehicles, there are also other parking spaces outside).

*If you choose our contactless catering option, then food and drink are included in the cost. We will supply you with breakfast every day, afternoon tea and snacks, pre-dinner nibbles, plus a three course dinner on six of the seven nights, which also includes unlimited red and white wine and a few beers.
*If you choose our self catered option, food and drink are not included in the chalet price, so you have the freedom to cook at home, or try out the great local restaurants in resort.

Please note that this chalet is not wheelchair accessible and would not be suitable for people with restricted mobility.

Premium Contactless Catering Service

Ski France presents the next generation of chalet holidays, for a contactless world. Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. We will visit your chalet mid-week to give it a full clean and change of towels and bed-linen, but this shall be done during the day, whilst you're out on the slopes. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our self catered option which does not include food or drink, so you are free to tailor-make your holiday meals on a budget that suits you.

For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, snacks to take with you skiing, afternoon tea and cakes/snacks, pre-dinner nibbles a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, with a selection of after dinner cheeses, plus champagne for your first night, a kir for before dinner and unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.

Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our self catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week.

Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.

*Please note that for the self catered option, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates. For our fixed menu option, the price does not include ski hire and lift passes, but it does include breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, plus a 3-course dinner with beer and wine for 6 days.

Val d'Isère

Val d'Isère, lying high in the Tarentaise Valley at 1850m altitude, is one of the most prestigious and best-known ski resorts in the world. The resort offers modern facilities and services yet retains it's heritage and traditional alpine charm. Combine this with one of largest, most varied and challenging ski areas in France and you get a first-class ski holiday destination.

Activities

The resort has numerous shops, bars, and restaurants. You can also enjoy an outdoor ice skating rink, an aqua-sports centre with pool and sauna, and a cinema.

Numerous events are organized by the resort throughout the season: various international ski competitions, giant sculptures of snow, concerts or even guided tours of Val d'Isère.

Ski Area

Val d'Isère shares the vast ski area with it's higher altitude neighbour, Tignes. With 300km of pistes to explore, including dedicated beginner zones and a huge choice of blue and red pistes, there is great scope for both beginners and improvers. For more advanced skiers, the numerous blacks and off-piste routes provide some great challenges. 95% of the ski area is above 1850m altitude and with the glacier topping out at 3456m, snow depth and quality is assured all season.

Payment Conditions

Ski France offers 2 options for payment:

1) Pay in 2 installments if booked more than 30 days prior to arrival:
- 30% deposit at time of booking & 70% payment 30 days prior to arrival.
2) Pay in 1 payment (always available and obligatory if booked less than 30 days prior to arrival)
- 100% at time of booking

Additional Extras:
- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to final payment
- Any extras added after final payment to be paid at time of addition to booking

Cancellation Policy

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:

- More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
- Between 30 and 21 days prior to arrival date: 45% of total accommodation cost
- Between 20 and 8 days prior to arrival date: 60% of total accommodation cost
- Between 7 and 4 days prior to arrival date: 90% of total accommodation cost
- 3 days or less prior to the arrival date: 100% of total accommodation cost

Access

By Car
From Paris : Take the A6/E15 towards Lyon/Genève, then A46 towards Grenoble/Genève, then follow A432 and then A43. Take the exit E70 towards A43/Turin/Chambéry and follow A43 and then A430. Follow N90 and then D1090. Then follow Route de Val d'Isère/D902. Take on your right Rue du Picheru, then on your right Route de la Balme and on your left Chemin du Petit Alaska.
